Mazatlan

The campground we stayed in was located in the "Golden Zone of Mazatlan".  The brochures didn't say why it was called that but it is the area that contains most of the tourist gift shops.  I think the reason is obvious.  Across the street was a familiar place, McDonald's.  Except for the menu being in Spanish, it was little different than any other McDonald's.  The only thing different on the menu was that you could have salsa in your scrambled eggs for breakfast.  There was a Burger King two blocks down but we didn't go in.

We had a very nice campsite.  It was next to the veranda where parties could be held but there were none while we were there.  It was close enough to the street to hear the music from a nearby disco.  That was good until they started playing Mexican rap music.

The campground was well laid out with large sites and lots of shade.
This is the veranda and pool.
