Sayulita, Jalisco, Mexico   Mar 2005

Sayulita is a small town about 30 Km north of Puerto Vallarta.

This was our campsite.  We rather liked it and the campground and stayed here for about two weeks.

This is the view from our campsite.  The distance to the beach is about 40 feet.
The beach is very nice.  There are enough people to make it interesting but it was not crowded.
The is a small beach bar and seafood cafe right next to the campground. It was closed when this picture was taken.  The hours posted on the door were only a random thought, not a firm plan.  This seems to be true for many small businesses in Mexico.
About 100 yards down the beach was another cafe.  We had dinner here twice.  The food was excellent.  For variety, there were Thai and Italian restaurants with easy walking distance of the campground.  We tried the Italian place one night.  It has live music and great food.
The surf was surprisingly good most days.  Some of the surfers were quite good.
Others were not so good.
The village was only a short walk away.  It was not a very large village.
There were a number of small markets like this one.  The fruit and produce were grown locally and were very good.  The price was quite low as well.
This was the plaza or town square.  It is typical of the plazas found in most of the small towns here.  There are few towns or cities in the US that can boast of a park as beautiful as this.
