Grand Canyon-South Rim

May 2004

We were in Laughlin, Nevada.  the weather was great; 95 degrees and sunny.  We decided it was warm enough to go to the Grand Canyon.  It is about a three hour drive.  As we were setting up camp in Grand Canyon Village, it started to snow.  Fortunately, it was only a flurry and the snow never got to the ground.  It did prove that our ability to attract bad weather is still going strong.

I took more than 60 pictures.  Only a few of them are shown here.  There will be few descriptions.  It is impossible to describe Grand Canyon.  Even the pictures are a poor description.

The Colorado River can barely be seen at the bottom of the canyon.  The canyon is almost 4000 feet deep here,

Here is a close-up of the river.  I would not like to shoot those rapids.
