The handsome devil to the left is me. The photo has only been touched up a little but the make-up was tough to get off.
Over the past 55 years, I have held a number of different jobs:
Trapper
Stock boy
Ditch digger
Grease monkey
Mechanic
Truck driver
Short order cook
Salvage diver
Teacher
Statistician
Electrical Engineer
Retired Bum
All but the last two took place between the ages of 10 and 24. At 24, the University of Missouri got tired of me and finally gave me a couple of degrees that say I am an engineer. Since then I have spent my time designing and building various electronic gadgets for military vehicles, mostly aircraft. Most of the Navy aircraft flying today have some avionics on board that I had some hand in designing and building. Strangely enough, most of it works. At 63 I retired, never to work again.
Somewhere along the way I acquired two sons; Sean and Mike.
More recently, Sean (on the left above) provided me with my first granddaughter, Kayla.
And this is my new home. We just moved in April, 2006. It's a great place. There is no grass to mow or leaves to rake, no property taxes, no grouchy neighbors (not for long, anyway), and the weather is always warm.
